7arai.com is yet another classified ads site for Kuwait and the rest of the Gulf. However if you give it a look, I am sure you will like the effort that was put into the design of it. According to the site though, the seller and buyer get to negotiate the price and you can make bid for the item you want.
“7arai.com is an online marketplace where everyone can buy and sell via classified ads. Just a simple way for buyers and sellers to connect and arrive at a deal. Our technology provides both buyers and sellers with online management tools to organize and track their offers and classified ads. We help you with everything from image hosting to online marketing to record-keeping.”
The ads are under categories and subcategories. So for example, to reach Birds, you would go to Animals & Pets -> Birds. What I think would be more convenient and bring more exposure to the advertiser, is to have featured Animals & Pets ads when you click that category, and then get more specific to the subcategory you like. So for example if I love animals, and was looking for Birds, I may like the cat featured on the Animals & Pets section. Sign-up to the site is FREE, however there is a corporate fee based sign-up that is coming soon it seems. That would be nice if they can secure some corporate sellers.
One thing I would really like to see changed is the mandatory mobile number for registration and for feedback. The site doesn’t look scam at all, but still the mobile number is a bit of personal information for registration or just sending feedback. Another thing is, if they ask for my mobile number, I assume they are going to use it somehow, even if legitimately, I might still not prefer it as the mean of communication. Perhaps when I want to seal a deal with someone, I may need to give it.
All in all, I loved the site, which is still brand new. Wish them all the best.

We are very pleased to announce the Q8igg Universal Widget that would allow you to follow Q8igg News from different sites and places. You can add it to Netvibes, iGoogle, Apple Dashboard, Opera, Windows Vista, Windows Live, or any other platform that supports the Universal Widget API, including your beloved, YES iPhone!. Since I don’t have them, I did not try the widget on neither iPhone or iPod touch, but it should work I think by using the same Apple Dashboard link. Here is a look at it on Apple Dashboard:
BoJacob and MrMMM, I would appreciate if I can get snapshots of it on iPhone and iPod touch
. If you have any feedback, comments, or issues, please do let me know. Please also go through the Q8igg Tools section to know what else you can do.
I couldn’t wrap this post with out warm thanks to all the people at Netvibes for their UWA initiative and continuous support. All the best for you.

SIXT is a unique online car rental service that allows you to book you car online, and get it at your arrival at the airport. You get to see the type of car, specify the dates, pickup and return place, and pay for the reservation online. Their prices also are not high as well. I don’t know of anyone who tried them so if you happen to be their customer, please share your experience here.

After the above two screens, you will be taken to the online payment and registration form where I have stopped (obviously). Ofcourse SIXT is an international site, but it’s nice to see they have dedicated a domain for Kuwait car rental. Aside from Kuwait airport, you can also pick up your car from Safat Shuwaikh. One thing that was more convenient with European car rental companies is you specify the car and specs you want, put your name and voila. You just arrive at the airport, give them a visit and give them your reservation name. For large airports where they have strong business, it seems to be worthy for them to have over stock of cars and trust no down-payment reservations. In Kuwait however, I understand this could be difficult to apply.
P.S: Sorry I know I’ve been slow in updating the blog. Will try to push it forward again.
